I first set up studio in New York immediately after finishing college & now House of Done has 2 studios, one in France, the other in Germany. My sister Nathalie takes care of the main company studio in Paris & I work and live in Berlin. |

What is the concept of your label? |
|
| |
Zabo's video & photographic works use unpredicted moments & spontaneous happenings cut together to create her own
realm of reality. Her jewellery is similarly
intuitive. Forms evolve from responses to situations,
materials & people rather than through drawing.
Randomnly found objects reveal stories from their
past which expand & merge with the personality of
the wearer. Relationships between human & object are
challenged by breaking established rules & using
radical techniques to alter the surface like purposely
scratching into gold plating or rubbing vivid car
paints into the cracks & surface marks on solid gold. |
