"There is no conceptual message that you could put into words. If people want to have a piece of my jewellery, to feel it, to wear it, to enjoy how it enhances their individual lifestyle - then it works!" The materials he uses lead to works that offer their own feelings & associations: on one hand they support the idea of unlimited luxury, but because they are made from deliberate & obvious fake stones they on the other hand liberate themselves from traditional luxury products and glamour codes to create a new freedom in the dealing with idea of "glittering" & wearers are freed from their expectations to discover a new experience & a new glamour. |
