For the last 10 years I have been a party organiser, arranging big burlesque, out door dance events. My favourite part was making glamorous costumes for the staff & since there are 4 generations of tailors in my family this was quite natural to me. 8 years ago I took formal training at The London College of Fashion & then worked in various fashion studios & a creative agency called Fresh - who do consultancy for labels such as Katherine Hamnett, Bella Freud, & Kangol before setting up my Strumpets label in 2002 and opening a boutique in Hoxton in 2004. |

What is the concept of your label? |

If Strumpets was a musical genre it would be 'Hip Hop Opera'… a cross-fusion of concepts and eras that are enhanced by the imagination of the wearer. |
