What is the concept of your label? |
|
| |
Karl: Velour women works with extreme siluettes insprired of bauhaus, 80s, 90s and sport. We create an aura around the line trough twisting between opposites: classic-street, glamour-sports; oversized-shrinked; natural-synthetic; hot-ugly; gorgeous- boring; culture-superficial.
Per:
The minimalist silhouette has elements of volume; reworked 80s gympants into a more classic feeling, flagrant wide at top but with narrow, lower legs. Boxy untucked shirts give the upper silhouettte a casual look. Frequent use of geometrical squares in the collections symbolise the experimental design. |

What message do your creations send? |
|
| |
Karl: Still cliché things as peace & quiet, meeting of life, fulfillment, attention, love, sex, money and luxury.
Per: I see a person who, as a boy, lived in the youth culture but has grown up and become a MAN. There is value in classical style which signals maturity and self-assurance. There exists an excitement between continuing youthful energy and marking your place in life with maturity and confidence. |
