Graduated in English Literature. Family
is in the textile industry and have been surrounded
by it since childhood. Studied design pattern making,
printing and weaving techniques and worked as a freelance
designer in the US, England and Hong Kong until starting
Raasta in Madrid in 2002. |

What is the concept of your label? |

Raasta - the Hindi word for the road,
the way. Our endeavour is to look at fashion, at
this constantly changing dynamic form of expression
with our romantic vision of long lasting relationships.
To create pieces which are not ruled by the trends
but by being unique and beautiful, hopefully will
stay in our wardrobe for more than a season. Sustainability
in our industry and a conscience effort to consume
less is what we strive for. |
