Having studied art and design in Edinburgh for 3 years Niki subsequently gained a place at the Scottish College of Textiles (Heriot Watt University). On completing the 4 year course, where she learned, among other things,
traditional cutting skills, Niki travelled worldwide designing for the UK high street. |

What is the concept of your label? |

To continually reinvent everyday silhouettes. Performance - whether related to art and film or rock bands - is also a pivotal inspiration. Niki Taylor's vision was that Olanic would not exist in the fashion world alone.
Dedicated to the idea of cross-collaboration, Niki currently works with film-maker and video director Sandy Hutton producing short films which are based around olanic designs. She also worked as stylist for hotly tipped Scottish band El Presidente. |
