What's your educational background? |

At 20 years old Elena Martin had
already completed a fashion degree at ATM in Barcelona
(Spain), gained a First Class degree in Art History
at Southampton University (UK) & was about to
embark on a Masters in Womenswear at the prestigious
Central St Martins College in London (UK).
She's
since worked for Markus Constable & Ralph Lauren,
been a stylist, costume designer, fashion writer & fashion
college lecturer. Her talent then got snapped up
at Antonio Miro's Jeans label for which she was Head
Designer and an Art Director for 2 catwalk shows
at Barcelona Fashion Week. She inevitably had dreams
to start her own label though and in 2006 the womenswear
launched with such success that she has since expanded
into unisex & menswear collections too! |

What is the concept of your label? |

Martin Lamothe is an ongoing
project that is constantly changing and evolving
like a fashion chameleon, taking any path needed
to build up a universe of its own. We want customers
to be engaged by our imagery so we continually invite
new artists to collaborate and have
their say in our projects and tune into the quirky,
kind of cool, romantic feeling created by Martin
Lamothe. |
